There will be a by-election in Hackney Central on Thursday July 21, following the resignation of Hackney’s deputy Mayor Sophie Linden.
Linden was approved last week as the deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime in London after being nominated by London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
The deadline for candidates’ nominations is Friday.
