Artists and creatives are being asked to take to the drawing board and come up with a design for a T-shirt to be worn by all those completing this year’s Vitality Run Hackney, which could be worn by up to 15,000 people.

The competition is open to everybody, from armchair artists to seasoned pros, and the winner’s artwork will appear on the T-shirt handed out at the finishing line to the thousands of people who complete the 13.1 mile half marathon on Sunday May 8.

The winner’s signature will be printed, in white, on the t-shirt, and the winner will also be credited on the event website, featured in some pre- and post-event publicity material, invited to the race day and a photo call and invited to do a short interview on the stage on race day.

The base colour of the short-sleeved t-shirt is black, and the winning design can contain a maximum of three additional colours (one of which is the pink of the event logo), and cover no more than half of the garment.

Designs should be submitted via email no later than Monday February 15 to runhackney@go2events.org.uk, marking it ‘Jen Edmondson Finalists’.
