Three BME and disability-led arts Hackney organisations have been awarded grants from the Arts Council’s diversity fund.
De Beauvoir’s Tropical Isles youth carnival group will receive £150,000 to expand its output, while the Avant Garde Dance Company, which is at the forefront of innovative Hip Hop/Contemporary Dance Theatre has also been awarded £150,000.
ZU-UK, an independent theatre company in east London and Rio de Janeiro, has been given £138,980 to strengthen its resilience and increase its impact with new staff, training and partnerships.
The Gazette last week reported on other Hackney groups to be given money as part of the round of grants.
