An East End bakery that helps women from vulnerable backgrounds build a future for themselves has launched a Crowdfunder campaign to move to a bigger building.
Luminary currently works out of a small kitchen at Husk coffee shop in Limehouse, but plans to move to a new building in Allen Road, Stoke Newington.
The bakery puts disadvantaged women through an employability training programme covering baking skills and personal development.
Founder Alice Williams, 27, said: “This space will enable us to double our baking capacity and the number of women we can support. We love the vibe in Allen Road – there’s such a community feel.”
