Young Hackney residents are being offered a free month-long construction course in September, to gain hands on experience in carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating and plumbing.
Participants aged 16-25 will work in an empty property on the Built 2 Work course, which is being delivered by Woodberry Works - the training and employment arm of Woodberry Down regeneration
Previous participants improved their skills and understanding of the construction industry, and many have made the move into education, further training or employment.
