The children aged 7 to 9 from Gayhurst Community School welcomed family and friends to a special launch of ‘El Surrealismo - Surealism Olé’ in the school’s new gallery, and served them Spanish themed food.

The project is linked to their geography topic about Spain.

Art works include an interactive cubist puzzle inspired by Picasso’s ‘Weeping Woman’ painting and a surreal game of Guess Who?.

“It’s a pleasure to explore and find out how the children created such original work,” said executive head teacher Louise Nichols.
