Young people gathered with the employers who had given them a chance to gain meaningful, paid work experience at a celebration to mark the success of Hackney 100.
The programme helps equip 16-19 year olds with the skills and experience needed for future success.
Over the past year 300 young people signed up to take part in assessment sessions and workshops to help them prepare for the workplace.
Some 70 of them went on to job placements at 32 employers, from media firm Nexus Studios to developer Berkeley Homes and Hackney Council.
Ayeisha Hayes from Inspire which partnered with the council to deliver the scheme, said: “I am incredibly proud of all the young people involved in the programme - they have shown such enthusiasm, resilience, passion and determination. The event was a way of celebrating all their achievements.”
It was organised and presented by Inspire’s own Hackney 100 employee, Beverley Tetteh. She handed out achievement awards from ‘most likely to be a billionaire’ to ‘best mentor’
