Creativity was the word of the day at Nightingale Primary School on Friday after a juggler gave wide-eyed students a demonstration to remember in the playground.
Performer Ian Marchant’s visit, which saw him juggling hoops, balls and cups, was part of a project to encourage “intelligent behaviour” among students at the Rendlesham Road school – with the first stage based on creativity, innovation and imagination.
Headteacher Abigail Hopper said: “We are creating a really positive culture at Nightingale where we build on children’s skills of making intelligent choices and behaving intelligently when faced with a challenge or a problem that they don’t know how to solve.
“Over the coming weeks we will be developing other habits such as persisting, striving for accuracy and even finding humour – all three of which were demonstrated brilliantly during Ian’s show.”
