Hundreds of children and families in Hackney attended the Festival of Imagination last week.
Festival–goers were invited to imagine, invent, experiment and enjoy the creative freedom, materials and technology provided to bring their new ideas to life.
The event held at Chats Palace, in Brooksby’s Walk, saw pupils from Daubeney Primary School and Simon Marks Jewish Primary School perform a number of imaginative activities.
Activities ranged from building a wild seasonal forest made entirely of cardboard and fabric to turning a humble spud into a musical instrument.Pupils also explored how to develop vision with neuroscientists.
360 children from 8 different schools attended the week long event run by the Institute of Imagination.
