Pupils make Southwold Primary School fair a success

Youngsters threw wet sponges at their teacher and put on their best singing voices for karaoke at the Southwold Primary School fair which raised money for musical instruments.
Children from the school in Detmold Road, Upper Clapton ran many of the stalls which included face painting, henna tattoos and a lucky dip.
International food stalls sold fare from Turkey, India and the Caribbean, all prepared by parents.
James Randerson, treasurer of Friends of Southwold said: “Parents, teachers and local businesses all pitched in by donating their time, ideas and cash - but what made this such a fantastic day was the energy and enthusiasm of the children at the school.
“The fair was not just an event laid on for them - they were integral to making it such a great success.”
