A mass jumble sale is taking place across Hackney on Saturday in protest against school funding cuts.

More than 50 families of kids at Queensbridge Primary School will be manning car boot sales in front of their houses between 11am and 3pm selling toys, clothes, cakes and even musical instruments in a bid to drum up some cash.

The idea is for people to follow the trail of stalls, all based on streets in the school’s catchment area, to pick up a bargain and raise some much-needed money for school supplies and equipment.

To register a stall for the event, or to find out where all the car boot sales are, visit londonfieldsjumbletrail.co.uk. The organisers have asked for a donation of £10 per stall; however participants can give as little or as much as they can.

All funds collected will go towards the Queensbridge parent and teachers association. Contact the organisers by e-mailing londonfieldsjumbletrail@gmail.com.
