A team from Skinners’ Academy is through to the final of a national competition designed to help teach school pupils essential business skills, whilst increasing their aspirations and self-belief.
The Mosaic Enterprise Challenge saw teams from five London schools pitch their business ideas to a judging panel at the Royal Bank of Scotland HQ in the City of London.
Pupils from Skinners’ put forward their idea for iRoundUp, a system for students to donate spare change from their electronic currency through their school ID card.
They have been invited to the Grand Final hosted on Thursday, which could see them winning £2,500 for their school.
Mark Daniel from the school in Woodberry Grove said: “The whole day was pretty nerve wracking and we really can’t believe we’re through to the grand final, it’s so exciting.
“We’ve worked pretty hard with our mentor and think we’ve come up with a great idea so I think we’ve got a good chance.”
