An elderly woman was rescued by firefighters after her first floor flat caught on fire on Saturday.
The woman was treated at the scene in Amhurst Park in Stamford Hill by the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Two engines from Stoke Newington fire station attended the incident after receiving a call at 10.18am. They managed to get the fire under control by 10.46am.
The fire damaged a small part of the first floor flat and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
A LAS spokeswoman said: “We treated one patient at the scene for smoke inhalation. She was conscious and breathing.”
