Two kebab shop workers had a narrow escape when a removal van smashed through the front of their takeaway.
The pair were working at Best Kebab in Victoria Park Road, Hackney, when the van crashed into the shop and shattered the glass window on Monday, soon after 1pm.
Manager Bulent Ganidagli said: “I was shocked. It was very scary. It crashed into the shop, broke the window and nearly came inside – it was too scary.”
The driver of the van was treated for head injuries by a London Ambulance Service crew.
An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic collision and treated a man reported to be in his fifties for head injuries. He was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority.”
