Come on Hackney: vote for your favourite green space for national comp

People in Hackney are being asked to nominate their favourite park for a national competition.

Hackney’s Green Flag parks and open spaces:

• Butterfield Green, N16

• Cassland Road Gardens, E9

• Clapton Pond, E5

• Clapton Square, E5

• Clissold Park, N16

• De Beauvoir Square, N1

• Hackney Downs, E5

• Hackney Marshes, E9

• Haggerston Park, E2

• Hoxton Square, N1

• London Fields, E8

• Shoreditch Park, N1

• Springfield Park, E5

• St John’s Churchyard Gardens, E5

• Well Street Common, E9

Fifteen of Hackney’s parks and green spaces are in the running for the Green Flag People’s Choice Award, for which 1,424 parks and green spaces have been put forward.

Last year 13 green spaces in the borough were recognised in the competition as amongst the best in the country, and this year Hoxton Square and St John’s Churchyard Gardens join the list.
