Clothes reuse charity TRAID is bringing together three leading voices for a discussion on the repair movement as a way to reduce waste and consumption.

Speakers include co-founder of the Restart project Janet Gunter, mending activist Bridget Harvey, and ‘My Made Do and Mend Year’ blog author Jen Gale.

All three work in different ways to inspire a “repair revolution”, with well-being, skill sharing, community and concern for the environment at the heart.

Sarah Klymkiw, head of education at TRAID said, “Our speakers represent a passionate network of active citizens who have been making headway in building a movement to repair products of all kinds which would otherwise have been thrown away.

“We urgently need to fix our relationship with ‘stuff’ and we’ll be debating whether repair is a way to do this.”

The talk takes place at 6.30pm on Thursday at Zieferblat, 388 Old Street.
