Over 500 people wrapped up warm to bid ‘Farewell to Christmas’ by singing carols and burning the tree at the Geffrye Museum.
The Epiphany event was held in the front garden of the museum of the home in Kingsland Road, Hoxton, on January 6 for the 24th year running.
Visitors enjoyed free mulled wine and a taste of Twelfth Night cake.
Nancy Loader from the museum said it went well despite the drizzle. “We had over 500 people and it the atmosphere was very jolly,” she added.
