Bookworms were treated to a story or two by a children’s author who popped into their school this week.
Youngsters at Harrington Hill Primary School in Upper Clapton met Chloe Inkpen, who wrote Zoe and Beans with her husband Mick.
She was in town as part of Pop Up Hackney week at the school, which saw a host of local writers hold workshops with children throughout the school.
“The children have been excited for weeks about the visit from Chloe Inkpen,” said nursery teacher Cimone Brown. “The storyline and the pictures in Zoe and Beans really grasped the children’s interests. The sessions all week were engaging and lots of fun!”
One pupil added: “I really like all the books. I want to read them again.”
