One dead as fir crews battled against blaze.
ONE person has died following a fire which ripped broke out in a South Tottenham house.
Firefighters from Tottenham, Holloway, Stoke Newington and Islington rushed to Hillside Road just before 6pm last night (Monday) where they found a fierce fire in progress.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus worked in extreme conditions to tackle the blaze but were unable to save the victim, believed to be an elderly male.
Police and paramedics also rushed to the scene, and the road was closed as emergency vehicles lined the street.
