Fire in Lauriston Road, south Hackney

Two men were treated for smoke inhalation following a fire in Lauriston Road, south Hackney, this afternoon (Wednesday).

Ten firefighters were called to the blaze in a restaurant at about 2.05pm.

The flames were under control about ten minutes later.

Paramedics treated two men at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
