Nine Stamford Hill residents pose with the fruits of their labours after graduating from a food-safety course.
The five-week project included one day of food safety training, followed by cook and taste sessions and a healthy hearts workshop. A total of 13 people took part.
Participant Rosalie Obi-Isichei, of Wicklow House, Stamford Hill Estate, Stamford Hill, said: “I really enjoyed the sessions. I got to meet new people and learn about what they cook in their families.”
Graduates demonstrated their food skills before being handed certificates at the Stamford Hill Estate community centre, Stamford Hill on May 8.
The course was run by the Community Kitchens Project and funded by the Southern Housing Group, based in Farringdon.
