Jobless young adults in Hackney are set to benefit from free cricket sessions, thanks to a 1 million Lottery grant for urban areas.
Delivered through Sport England, the government agency to promote sport, the idea is to stop teenagers dropping out of sport after the age of 16, and to keep them off the streets and away from crime and anti-social behaviour.
Weekly sessions for 16-24 year olds in Hackney will be held at BSix College in Kenninghall Road, check www.streetchance.org to check the finalised date and time.
