BMX taster sessions, indoor roller skating and a table tennis tournament are just some of the free activities on offer for kids during the half term break in Hackney next week.
Other events laid on by the council-run Young Hackney youth centres for 8 -19 year-olds include kung-fu classes, kayaking and a Halloween screening of Ghostbusters at the Concorde centre in Homerton.
Youngsters who enjoy an initial BMX session at Daubney Green skate park will be able to take part in a six week course, eventually tackling the Olympic Park Velodrome.
Forest Road in Dalston and The Edge in Woodberry Down youth clubs will celebrate Black History Month with theatre and fashion events, culminating in an open day at Forest Road, from 11am to 3pm on Sunday November 3, where guests will have the chance to see some of the young people’s work and enjoy a Caribbean lunch.
