Update on today’s strike action
A full service is running on five out of six bus routes threatened by 24-hour strike action in Hackney this morning, according to transport bosses.
A spokeswoman for CT Plus based at Ash Grove Depot - where 185 workers reportedly walked out at 4am this morning - said the routes 153, 212, 394, W12 and W13 were all without disruption.
But a shuttle service is in place between Hackney Wick and Mare Street for passengers taking the 388.
The Unite union want Boris Johnson to meet with them to discuss better wages, threatening to repeat the walkout for the next three Fridays.
