Former England football star Paul Gascoigne is reportedly recovering in hospital after a row at the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch.
Gascoigne, 49, suffered a head injury during the tussle at the boutique hotel in Shoreditch High Street on Tuesday evening, according to reports.
Scotland Yard said police were called just after 6pm to “reports of a disturbance at a hotel”, adding: “Officers were called a short time later to reports of a man assaulted at the same location. A 49-year-old man was found suffering from a head injury.
“The man has been taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”
