Families are setting up a ‘good neighbours’ scheme with a network of ‘champions’ for each stairwell block on East London’s prestigious Boundary Estate.
The ‘champions’ will look at ways to make stairwells more of a meeting place to get to know one-another and get ideas for improvements.
They have been given a grant from ‘Your Square Mile’, a scheme backed by the Big Lottery to make changes in communities.
The Boundary Neighbourhood Group is being launched at 3pm on Saturday with a family fun day at Arnold Circus in Club Row, behind Shoreditch Church, featuring Irish dancing, flower planting and other activities.
