Older people are invited to a meeting next Thursday with Hackney Borough Commander Matthew Horne to discuss doorstep scams, card fraud and high pressure telephone sales.

The idea is to focus on safety and security, and the Kingsland Road fire station manager will be on hand to discuss fire alarms and sirens.

Jointly organised by the Older People’s Reference Group and the Community Engagement Board, it takes place at 10.30am at the CRE-8 Lifestyle Centre (formerly Hackney Wick Community Centre) at 80 Eastway.
