Legend Bruce Springsteen is among those playing at the Hard Rock Calling music festival which takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park next weekend.
Other artists headlining the event on June 29 and 30, which had previously taken place in Hyde Park, are Kasabian and Paul Weller.
Hackney residents can apply for tickets to the event, as well as those to the Summer Stampede on July 6 with Mumford and Sons and the Yahoo! Wireless Festival with Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z from July 12 to 14.
Jules Pipe, Mayor of Hackney, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer hundreds of our residents the chance to enjoy international music events for free in an area of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park that sits in our borough.”
Residents can apply for one pair of tickets to one event by sending an email to summerevents@hackney.gov.uk including the name and date of the event in the subject line and postcode by June 23. To buy tickets to Hard Rock Calling visit www.hardrockcalling.co.uk/tickets
