Soccer-mad enthusiasts are invited to celebrate 25 years of Sporting Hackney Football Club this Saturday - with a big screen viewing of the FA Cup Final.
The day will include football matches for all ages, a screening of the Manchester City versus Stoke City match, and the club’s annual awards, as well as an announcement about the club’s future from Hackney Council and the City Academy.
Hackney Marshes is the spiritual home of Sunday league football, but East Marsh will be inaccessible next season because of the Olympic Games.
The event on Hackney Marshes on May 14 starts with the Under 12s match at 10.45am, followed by Allstars vs Veterans and 1sts vs 2nds, while the announcement takes place at 1.30pm. The FA Cup will be screened in the Hackney Marshes Centre.
