A “free from” skincare range launched in Hackney two years ago has won gold in a national award.
Kokomelt, founded by Deborah Spink, picked up the gong in the Men’s Grooming category at the FreeFrom Skincare Awards, which rewards products that reject chemical ingredients.
A victorious Deborah said: “I am completely overjoyed that I have won this award. I started Kokomelt only two years ago and have been producing all my products by hand from a small Studio in Hackney.
“I’m proud to be working within a borough like Hackney that is doing so well with up and coming brands and I hope that more people can learn about what is produced locally.”
The awards were presented at The Love Natural, Love Organic Show at Olympia on Friday by holistic health guru, Janey Lee Grace.
