BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty announced Hackney Homes support service manager, Jennifer Amos as the winner of the Inspirational Mentor category at the Housing Heroes awards ceremony in Manchester, which recognises the unsung heroes of the social housing world.
A mentor who works with young trade apprentices has been handed a national award for the inspiration she provides them.

Chair of Hackney Homes’ board, Rupert Tyson said: “We are really pleased that Jennifer has been recognised in this way.
“The work that she does continues to inspire the next generation and help many of our young residents and employees make a difference to local people.”
