A young Hackney resident suffering with Multiple Sclerosis has put together a presentation to raise awareness about the condition.

Zakariya Anis, 20, of was diagnosed with the condition, which affects nerves in the brain and spinal cord, causing problems with muscle movement, balance and vision in 2010.

He has been in and out of hospital ever since.

He said: “ I wanted to do this because there is a lot of ignorance associated with the condition. The event is for everybody - the college is only a venue. This is the starting point but the idea is to do it in as many places as possible”

His first presentation will take place at 11:30am on Saturday September 13 at Leyton Sixth Form College in Essex Road, Leyton, E10.
