Bid for front benches nearing conclusion.
HACKNEY North and Stoke Newington MP Diane Abbott will find out tonight if her bid for a shadow cabinet post has been successful.
Ms Abbott threw her hat into the ring for a seat on the front benches after coming last in the Labour leader election last week.
The results of the votes for the Shadow Cabinet are due to be announced at 9pm.
