Volunteer police cadets from Hackney beat 11 other teams in a competition in the New Forest over the Easter holidays.
The cadets who meet every Wednesday and Thursday at Hackney Police Station in Lower Clapton Road spent three days at the Avon Tyrell Outdoor Activity Centre in Hampshire.
To win the overall prize the young people had to carry out command tasks, a stretcher run, fingertip search, house search, orienteering, consumer quiz, first aid, look and learn, blindfold obstacle course, football challenge, assault course and a raft race.
The Hackney team also bagged another trophy for coming first in an escape and evasion exercise, which involved a full day of hiking and map reading.
Cadet manager Jill Di’Martino said she was proud of all the cadets: “They conducted themselves impeccably and were a credit to themselves and the borough,” she added.
The break aims to teach young people to have fun whilst learning different physically and mentally challenging outdoor skills.
