Hackney’s religious leaders celebrate the most important meal of the day

Muslims, Jews and Christians came together for a special Christmas ‘breakfast’ to promote community cohesion and unity.
The meal was organised for the first time last year in response to the November terror attacks in Paris.
A Met spokesman who put on the event at said: ‘The event brings people together from different communities to break bread together during the festive period.’
Disabled rights advocates also came along to Stoke Newington Police Station on Friday, as well as MP Meg Hillier and Mayor Phil Glanville. Owner of Dalston’s Le Ziz restaurant, Check Cengiz Aslan, donated the food both years.
