A Hackney woman rode through Surrey in a tandem convoy, dressed as a character from classic 80s movie Top Gun.
Kathryn Pashley, 32, of Rossington Street took on Tom Cruise’s character Maverick to ride on the bicycle made for two, while friend Laura Harding played rival Goose.
Part of a group of 10 self-styled ‘Tandem Virgins’ – so called because they were all new to riding the special bikes, the women raised over �3,200 so far for Epsom-based children’s disability charity, MERU.
Other fancy dress duos included William and Kate, Batman and Robin and Thelma and Louise.
