A charity gala has raised £18,600 for the Speaker of Hackney’s charities, St Mungo’s homelessness project and the Fairbridge programme of The Prince’s Trust.

Business representatives, councillors, and Mayors from several London boroughs attended the dinner in the refurbished Assembly Rooms of the Town Hall in Mare Street.

Guests were entertained by an illuminated hoola hoop display, professional ballroom dancers who gave them the opportunity to take to the dance floor to try out moves of their own and a disco.
