East London rapper Dizzee Rascal brought together nearly all 50,000 festival goers for a massive party at the Hackney Weekend pop festival when he was revealed as the secret guest at 7.30pm tonight.

He told the crowd, “I don’t want to see you all standing around, this is Hackney, I want to see madness.”

The crowd went wild as the Bonkers superstar played old favourites, Holiday and I Luv You – the track that made him famous 10 years ago.

He also introduced a new song called I’m a Bassline Junkie, saying: “I wanna play something new but I gotta explain it first. Some people like to drink, some people like drugs, but me I’m a Bass Line Junkie.”

“I don’t need no speed, I don’t want no heroin, I don’t want no coke, you can keep your ketamine,” go the lyrics.
