Several Tottenham Hotspur players set for more international action this evening

Two Tottenham Hotspur players are set to lead out their respective countries this evening in a friendly fixture, as England and France do battle at the Stade de France.

Harry Kane, fresh from wearing the armband against Scotland on Saturday, could lead the Three Lions again.

And Hugo Lloris is set to start and captain Les Bleus and will be determined to stop his Spurs team-mates enjoying success.

England could play up to five Tottenham players against France with Kane, Dele Alli and Eric Dier hoping to start.

Kieran Trippier may be handed his international debut too, with first-choice Kyle Walker dropping to the bench.

It will be a proud moment for the 26-year-old Trippier, who finished the campaign in fine form and deserves this opportunity.

Although the Spurs full-back won’t be directly against him, he may trade blows with Tottenham squad member Moussa Sissoko.

Whoever starts for France, they will be keen to bounce back following Friday’s defeat away to Sweden in a FIFA World Cup Group A qualifier.

Les Bleus lost 2-1 with Ola Toivonen capitalising on a mistake by Lloris to score a stunning stoppage time winner.

Sissoko played the whole match and if given an opportunity tonight, will be keen to impress against England.

Gareth Southgate’s team come into the contest off the back of a battling 2-2 draw away to rivals Scotland.

Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring, but two free-kicks by Leigh Griffiths, of Celtic, turned the Group F game on its head.

It was therefore left for England skipper Kane to pop up with a last-gasp equaliser to spare the blushes of Southgate’s side and net his sixth international goal for his country.

Christian Eriksen maintained his excellent form with another effort for Denmark at the weekend, as they beat Kazakstan 3-1 in Group E.

The Spurs playmaker, after netting in a friendly draw with Germany last week, fired home from the penalty spot in the 51st minute.

Vincent Janssen was in the goals again too on Friday to help the Netherlands claim a 5-0 victory over Luxembourg in Group A.

After scoring against Morocco and Ivory Coast, the Tottenham striker will be happy with his summer form so far.

Ben Davies played the full 90 minutes on Saturday, as Wales earned a 1-1 draw away to Group D leaders Serbia.

Kevin Wimmer was an unused substitute, however, during Austria’s 1-1 draw against Republic of Ireland in the same group.

It was a frustrating weekend for Victor Wanyama too, as his Kenya side lost 2-1 at Sierra Leone in African Cup of Nations qualifying.

Meanwhile Heung-min Son is back in action this evening, as South Korea take on Qatar in a World Cup qualifier.
