A specialist Hackney medical service was recognised at a national awards ceremony last Thursday.
The City and Hackney Primary Care Psychotherapy Consultation Service were presented with the Psychiatric Team of the Year award at the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) 2013 awards ceremony. The team were presented with their trophy by former chairman of HBOS Lord Dennis Stevenson at the prestigious ceremony held at the Royal Society of Medicine in Wimpole Street in Central London.
Prof Sue Bailey, president of the RCPsych, said: This award is designed to pivotal role that specialist psychiatric teams play in improving or innovating psychiatric services and care.
“The City and Hackney team demonstrated strong team work and innovation. I congratulate them on winning this award.”
