Hackney is the fourth worst London borough for alcohol-related hospital admissions, new figures have revealed today.
For every 100,000 hospital visits, 655 were related to drinking, according to Public Health England’s figures for 2013/14.
Hackney was well above the the London average was 541 per 100,000, and nationwide average of 645.
Islington had the highest rate in London, with 809 drink-related hospital visits per 100,000.
Blackpool was the worst hit in the UK at 1230.5, with Stoke-on-Trent second with 982.5.
