First team players of Leyton Orient football club took time off the pitch to give presents to children who are spending the holiday period in hospital.
Striker and League One player of the month Kevin Lisbie, defenders Mathieu Baudry and Gary Sawyer and midfielder Lee Cook visited Homerton Hospital in Homerton Row to give out around 30 presents, including items of Orient clothing, signed posters and sweets.
Mr Lisbie said: “You come here and it really does open your eyes to realise how lucky we are.
“We might moan about losing a game but when you make a visit like this it puts things into perspective.
“Hopefully we’ve given the children a bit of a lift.”
