Olympic javelin gold medallist Tessa Sanderson has presented a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner to the Homerton Sports Clinic for a project supporting injured athletes with the latest technology.
The clinic - based at the Sir Ludwig Guttman centre on the Olympic Park - has linked up with the Tessa Sanderson Foundation and Academy and Toshiba Medical Systems to identify, treat and rehabilitate athletes with muscle and tendon damage.
NHS patients can be supported via a referral letter from a GP or hospital.
