Hackney Winter Night Shelter are appealing for volunteers to help out throughout the cold winter period.
Based in churches across Hackney, the charity supplies food and beds to the homeless throughout the year.
But they need extra hands on deck over the New Year when many similar projects take a break, leading to extra demand.
Helpers will be asked to assist preparing beds, cooking food, serving meals and spending time with guests during the season of good will.
