A Homerton tech entrepreneur has been named one of London’s “25 under 25” as voted for by an industry network.

Tech London Advocates took nominations from its community of more than 6,000 sector leaders to compile the list recognising the best young minds in tech across the capital.

Among them is Joshua Uwadiae, 24, a former BSix College student who founded WeGym, which aims to make personal training more accessible by offering personal trainers for hire.

He told the Gazette: “This is most exciting for us because it’s the exact recognition we need coming into the new year to raise the capital we need to start rapidly scaling up our business with even more affordable personalised fitness products.

“When I first had the idea to start I was 21 so a few years later and many lessons learned I’m excited to have hired our first two employees this year and be recognised for the success thus far.”
