A busy Hackney square beloved by east London fashion pack will be closed for landscaping work for eight weeks this summer.
Popular with art lovers flocking to opening parties at the nearby White Cube Gallery Hoxton Square will be closed whilst Hackney council restores the drinking fountain, puts in new plants and improves the lawn, re-lays the path and adds more seats.
Wild life has not been forgotten as bat and bird boxes are installed in the park.
Taking no risks with the work or equipment the council will monitor the site with CCTV whilst the work gets underway.
