A poignant production following the intricacies of life on a deprived Hackney estate will be premiered at Chat’s Palace on Friday.

Youth theatre group Immediate Theatre’s matinee show The Yellow Brick Path is an insight into 24 hours in the lives of a family living on the fictitious “Island Estate”.

The plot follows each member of the family and their desire to follow their dreams as well as the challenges they face.

Production director Tony Gouveia said: “Our main motivation as a charity is for a society where articulate and motivated young people collaborate to build thriving communities.”

Tickets for the show at Chat’s Palace in Brooksby’s Walk, Homerton, cost £5 for concessions and £8 for adults. For more information see www.immediate-theatre.com.
