Tributes will be paid to the late Nelson Mandela this Friday night in a special remembrance service.

The life of the South African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist who passed away last week will be celebrated with songs, poetry, African-drumming and performances in the event organised by community group Hackney Unites.

It takes place at the Dalston Trinity Centre in Beechwood Road from 6.30pm to midnight.
