Johnny Borrell went back to Dalston last night (Wednesday) to play the third of four gigs in a charity shop this week raising money for Oxfam.
The Razorlight frontman, who recorded Don’t Go Back to Dalston in 2004, went against his own advice to appear alongside Little Comets and Pope Joan as part of the launch of the Oxjam festival.
British indie band The Charlatans along with hip hop duo dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip and X-factor starlet Diana Vickers have already played gigs at the Kingsland Road Oxfam this week.
Tonight’s finale (Thursday) sees electronic musician Four Tet headline with Ikonika.
