A festival bringing a global fusion of remixed sounds from across the world will hit Hackney this weekend.
The London Remixed Festival will take place on Saturday at four different venues in London including The Bedroom Bar in Rivington Street, Shoreditch.
It will feature remixed sounds from ghetto funk, drum and bass, reggae, anarchic hoedown, Latin breaks, brass band hip hop, electro-Afro music, Balkan beats, blues remix, electro swing, tropical bass, Ethiopian dub and DMC scratch masters.
On Saturday, a guerrilla hoedown took place at Broadway Market in London Fields with some performers playing to shoppers at the market and passers by.
Sophie Cammack, one of the festival organisers, said: “This is going to be the most exciting, inclusive musical event in London this year. We are bursting with talent fresh from the fields of the summer festivals and those who are being primed for next.”
